| Rae Lewis Thornton
was licensed as a Baptist Minister in August 2000
by Rev. Clay Evans at Fellowship Baptist Church in
Chicago, Illinois. She is currently attending
McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago,
Illinois. Working on a Master's in Divinity, Rae
will graduate in June 2003. Rae Lewis Thornton
preaches and teaches at Churches and Christian events
across the country. | |

Young. Educated. Attractive.
Assertive. Ambitious: Just a few of the words used to describe
Rae Lewis-Thornton. In 1986, at the tender age of 23, Rae
Lewis-Thornton was diagnosed HIV Positive and given the ultimate
death sentence. Rae uses her life as an example that AIDS is a
non-discriminatory disease. She received the coveted Emmy Award for
an ongoing series of first-person stories on “Living with AIDS”
for CBS. Rae Lewis-Thornton leads her own unending crusade to
educate and challenge young and old audiences to take control of
their own bodies, futures, and health.

Lewis-Thornton, Inc was founded by Rae Lewis-Thornton to focus on
AIDS education. Primarily destroying myths and stereotypes
surrounding who can, and how one becomes infected with HIV (Human
Immunodeficiency Virus) know to cause AIDS (Acquired
